Shiela's Spot; The Popular Pantry

Food insecurity is a harsh reality many students in our community deal with, especially in the summer months and during holiday breaks when school is not in session.

In rural parts of Maine, getting to the local Food Pantry or a Meal Site is nearly impossible for a student if they do not have a license or access to reliable transportation.

Transportation is never an issue at Sheila's Spot!

Our student led mobile culinary project will arrange food deliveries to our program participants and their family when they need it the most.... weekends, before a holiday and summer break.

All the necessary food pantry items: 

• fresh, locally grown produce [from local farmers and our Rivers & Roads Edible Community Garden] 
• baked breads, muffins, jams, sauces, spices and garden goodies,
• eggs, milk and yogurt
• local granola, potatoes, homemade pasta cheese

we will come to you!
